Wow, neat new layout, T!
I think I’m in a similar boat – a cultural christian of sorts.
And even though I don’t call myself christian I find myself still using that story, in a sense. Like it’s the default template for my neurons due to my upbringing, and the operating system keeps resetting back to it despite all the extra layers of data and crud I’ve learned afterward. I’ve never really had god-experiences, but I’m left with a nagging feeling like we can change the world for the better somehow.
I don’t call myself an atheist either though, just for the record. I feel more honest when I use ‘agnostic’ instead. But that usually depends a lot on how the “god-question” is put to me.
